Here’s a simple and delicious recipe for cauliflower snacks that can be baked or air-fried:

Crispy Cauliflower Snacks

Ingredients:

  • 1 medium cauliflower, 
  • cut into bite-sized florets
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs (panko works best for extra crunch)
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour (or gluten-free flour)
  • 1/2 cup milk (or plant-based milk for a vegan option)
  • 1 tbsp. garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp. smoked paprika
  • 1/2 tbsp. black pepper
  • 1/2 tbsp. salt
  • 2 tbsp. olive oil (optional, for extra crispiness)

For a Dipping Sauce:

  • 1/2 cup yogurt or mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp. hot sauce or ketchup
  • 1 tbsp. lemon juice
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

Preheat Oven or Air FryerOven: 

Preheat to 400°F (200°C).

Air fryer: Set to 375°F (190°C).

Prepare the Batter:

1. In a bowl, mix flour, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.

2. Add milk and whisk until you have a smooth, slightly thick batter.

Bread the Cauliflower:

1. Place breadcrumbs in a separate bowl.

2.Dip each cauliflower floret into the batter, shake off excess, and then coat in breadcrumbs.

Arrange and Cook:

For Oven: 

  1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it. 
  2. Spread the florets evenly and drizzle with olive oil. 
  3. Bake for 20-25 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden and crispy.

For Air Fryer

  1. Place florets in the basket without overcrowding. 
  2. Air fry for 12-15 minutes, shaking halfway, until crispy.

Make the Dipping Sauce

Mix yogurt or mayo with hot sauce, lemon juice, and season to taste.
